The Host Community Will Ultimately Decide The Direction of this Project.

We do not want to pigeonhole this project too much at the start. The goal is to get enough support and funding to turn the project over to the community and to let the community decide priorities and use of community treasury funds which will be held in a wallet owned and controlled by the 10k Host DAO. However, our early thoughts are below.

We Are An Integral Part of The Sharing Economy.

Home sharing, car sharing, and other sharing economy markets are part of the new sharing economy. The sharing economy continues to grow and is set to reach $335 billion by 2025. Over 86 million Americans will use the sharing economy by 2021. Home sharing is a big piece of this new economy, with most of the revenue going to the platforms and nearly all of the rules controlled by the platforms. Did you ever wonder what would happen if the people sharing their homes, cars, and electronics and creating the 5-star experiences acted collectively in their self-interest and the interest of society from a non-platform point of view? Blockchain creates the opportunity to build a community of sharing economy enthusiasts and participants. This project is devoted to discovering whether the platforms, the people sharing, or the users of shared assets have the most leverage and incentive to improve the sharing economy.

Collective Advocacy = Power.

Generally, we have the opportunity with this project to start thinking, acting, and advocating collectively. We want to create the opportunity for advocacy and support. We rely too much on the platforms and need to start helping our cause, creating opportunities, and solving our challenges. This project is not about the complaints we see on Facebook groups. It is about problem-solving by problem solvers, innovation by thought leaders, and web3 (blockchain) potential to put the power where it belongs, the people.

Consider the benefits that membership organizations such as the AARP, National Real Estate Association, and other trade organizations can offer their members. There is strength and leverage in numbers. Whether getting discounts on the highest-end wireless door locks, gas card discounts, or travel coupons, we have the opportunity to become one of the largest trade organizations in the world.

Early adopters will be rewarded with the most benefits, have the most significant access, and be offered the early opportunity to achieve leadership positions. Being an OG to the community and leaning into this project will provide unique rewards. Helping build this community will provide additional incentives for community members.
